In class, we have talked about manias. We have also watched the TED Talk by Jay Walker, "The world's English mania", and discussed the ideas presented by the lecturer.
When presenting the topic, Walker said:
Let's talk about manias. Let's start with Beatle mania: hysterical teenagers, crying, screaming, pandemonium. Sports mania: deafening crowds, all for one idea -- get the ball in the net. Okay, religious mania: there's rapture, there's weeping, there's visions. Manias can be good. Manias can be alarming. Or manias can be deadly. How about you? When was the last time you witnessed a pandemonium? Describe the situation in a short paragraph and post it in the blog.
